I entered the residential mortgage industry at the peak of real estate market. As the real estate and mortgage markets collapsed nationwide I opened Cornerstone Mortgage in a single 10' x 10' office in a building I owned.
10 years later my FHA production ranked 12th in the nation and 3rd in the state of California. Last year, despite increasing my production by almost 20% I fell to 14th in the nation for FHA loans but climbed to #2 in the state of California. I took an extended vacation for the first half of 2017, fulfilling a promise I had made to my family after years of 14 hours days and spent the last half of 2017 revamping the company, modernizing our technology, expanding our funding lines , bringing on new investors to maximize our product offering and opening two new branch offices.
